Vel-a-cro, Spungie Cords and the Mirr-o
AKA . . velcro, bungie cords and the mirror.
Vintage Girl is still young enough to mis-pronounce quite a few words. Combined with her snaggletooth grin it’s awfully cute!
One day I’ll wake up and she won’t be misprounouncing anything or making funny grammatical errors – and she’ll have all her teeth! I think that will be a sad day.
For now, I can still enjoy my all-time favorite Vintage Girl “blooper”:
“Mom, did you put my blankie in the hampster?”

My current favorite is my son’s peanut butter and “marble-aide” sandwiches. Marmalade anyone?

Ha. My daughter asked me when she was 4 “mom, will you blank me with my blanket?”

@Gabriel: no doubt you have lots more of those ahead!
@Vered: hmmm, wouldn’t it be handy to just go “blank’ once in a while?

A few of my faves from my kids (including the grown ones): hambaburger (hamburger), heckadocker (helicopter) and paper toilet (toilet paper)!

Cherish these words & moments, before you know it she’ll be off to college. Sigh. Love the new design here, as well as at One Bag Nation!

Hi Linda,
Just caught your comments as I was getting ready to shut down for the night. It’s early for me but I want to do some “real” reading! You are so right about these days and moments being precious; I feel like now that first grade has started it really will be a blink and she’ll be leaving home . . .

Hi Ann,
How cute. You’ll have to record those for her to listen to many years from now.

My favorite so far has been “hopticopter.”

You’ve got such a sweetheart!
Kids are so cute at that age!! I am already missing mine. My girls are 6 and 7+ currently. They grow up so fast.

@Shevy: paper toilet is a good one!
@Barbara: I always mean to jot down the funny things she says, but you know how that goes . .
@Evelyn: I know what you mean, you really can miss them even when they’re still around!
