Just the Facts: About Vintage Mommy
I had a burst of inspiration today – an hour of quiet solitude on a rainy morning is all it took – and finally wrote my ABOUT page.
So glad to check that off my list.

My heart goes out to you. Going through infertility and adoption must have been tough.
It is obvious that you love your daughter very much. She is very lucky to grow up in such a loving home.

I’m an adopted only child (all grown up now) and think I’ve had a WONDERFUL life! From what I’ve observed, siblings can cause major problems and complications in families. So don’t grieve — celebrate what you have as a family. She is so lucky to have you as a Mom!

@Vered: I wouldn’t wish infertility on anyone . . . it’s not a fun experience, but definitely survivable.
@Linda: thank you so much for that perspective. I think I would have been very well suited to be an only child, but my daughter seems to crave companionship, so I worry.

I like your ABOUT and left a comment on it.
Your daughter is lucky and I bet you’re lucky too.
