Mommy Moment or Senior Moment II

8:50am Friday Morning

Vintage Mommy: I need to call my cell phone so I can find it (cell phone begins to ring)

Vintage Girl: I’ll go get it for you Mom – here it is! (retrieves ringing phone from my bag)

Vintage Mommy: (looking at phone) Oh, a Missed Call at 8:50 . . . who could that be?

Vintage Girl: That’s YOU Mom, you just called yourself! (much giggling follows)

LOL — Oh boy, been there, done that!

Have done it also with out cordless phone at home. (It wasn’t in my purse though.) I call it “Mommy brain.”

Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours, VM!

I fairly regularly have to call my BlackBerry in order to find it when it’s been accidently left within the baby’s reach! At least she doesn’t know how to dial people on my phone, unlike on her mother’s. My Eldest Daughter has an iPhone and the baby can open her address book and start dialling!

This is the same one and a half year old I previously caught trying to change my administrative password on my laptop (when I wasn’t even logged in as admin!). I live in fear of what technological mayhem she’ll be able to commit by the time she learns to talk clearly.

I seem to have such moments constantly! Your earlier story with the freezer, the teacup, the meat and the kettle was embarrassingly familiar :)

Sadly, I can say I’ve been there, done that before! It certainly does make us feel old though, doesn’t it?

ha ha – I am giggling away here!! I don’t have mummy brain, but I do sometimes do silly things like turn on the music in the car and because of the slight delay in music coming through, it sometimes makes me jump as I get distracted and forget that I have turned it on!! (particularly if I happen to have something like Jon Bon Jovi on LOUD!)
