Show & Tell: Nothing to Show OR Tell!

I’m participating in this week’s Show and Tell, though I have nothing significant to share.

It was one of those weeks when I couldn’t believe Friday had rolled around again. I’m not the most efficient person in the best of times, but when things get really busy, I get really inefficient! And then I just can’t imagine where the time has gone . . .not to mention, in the three weeks since I requested taking Fridays off, I have worked on Friday; what is wrong with this picture??

I did bask in the glow of the inauguration; I spent Tuesday alternating between grinning and weeping. Then I awoke to the news of 5000 layoffs at Microsoft, followed by rumors of more at Starbucks, which freaked me out. I’m a fundraiser and I hope there will be funds to raise this year . . .

Next week I hope to wow you all with my new home office – a work in progress.

Layoff news is always depressing to me. I think about all those people . . .

Looking forward to seeing your new home office!

I absolutely get what you mean regarding the basking combined with the freaking. A friend of mine attended the inauguration in person (lucky duck had seats along the parade route!) and then stood in line at the unemployment office for over two hours in the same week. Interesting times we’re living in!

Hi Brenna, that’s quite a contrast! I guess we have to remember there is no magic wand and keep the faith!

Hi Ann – It is hard to stay positive when we hear bad news, such as the layoffs, but in your position (working as a fundraiser), hopefully those who are more fortunate than others will step up to the plate. I feel this is a time we all need to ban together for the good of all.
