Show & Tell: A Tale of Woe, Part Deux

Show and Tell

I was wading through the pile of art supplies, school papers, junk treasures, and food remains on Vintage Girl’s desk yesterday, and look what I found!

Apparently the wound is deeper than I thought – but at least we’re wearing matching dresses adorned with friendly tulips! (you can read the first chapter of A Tale of Woe here).

And don’t forget to head over to Mel’s to see what others are sharing this week.

    Mel:

Damn, at least she’s getting out some great art in the process. Think about her angst, what she’ll tell Barbara Walters in the future. “I really wanted a puppy, but my mother…she said no.”

Let’s just hope she can earn a few bucks with this terrible tale – and all true, too! no faking like Jonathan F!

How expressive. LOVE the fact that you two have matching tulip dresses.

    T-Mommy:

It is really amazing how kids and adults process things so differently. With all this “first dog” media coverage I caught myself thinking what would I do when/if our daughter asks for one.

Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. I was reading your two posts about your adoption story and I can so relate to your feelings. Not so long ago I just couldnĀ“t even consider it as an option for us but through one other blog that I read my mind has totally changed about it… I guess only time will tell what is in store for us!

    Beautiful Mess:

HA! That is hilarious! I put my daughter in time out one day *years ago* and I heard her praying “God can you please make my mom not be so mean?” OUCH! I can’t even remember what she did, but my feelings were kind of hurt by that, silly I know. Now I can look back on it and laugh. Now I’m sure her prayers are A LOT different, since she’s 12 and doesn’t get time outs anymore. You should save those pictures so she can look back on them and laugh at herself. It’ll be fun!

    Queenie:

That really is priceless. You’ve got to save it for when she’s older.
